hi, i’m mimi and i’m in my late twenties. i use she/her pronouns and regularly use pet-names that are gender unspecific and don’t mind if you do the same. if you’d rather i didn’t, please let me know! because i am an older roleplayer, i would prefer anyone who follows me to be over the age of eighteen unless i know you from other blogs - merely because i tend to speak in a pretty mature manner and don’t want to accidentally slip up. this is a slow activity blog meant as a hobby and i will not be around all the time. i live in australia, work and stream so my online times will vary. i have two other blogs where i also spend some time, hertrvth (multimuse) & herekiitty (felicia hardy)

this blog is my own creation. i do not own black widow/natasha romanoff, however the headcanons and canon explored here are my own. i have created a version of nat who is a personalised blend of comic movie and headcanon facts to create this particular iteration and would prefer you read all the provided information before following or interacting. while my main faceclaim for nat is scarlett johansson, i am 100% willing to go iconless for anyone who is uncomfortable with my use of her. i would also like to publicly state that i do not agree with her decision to have ever played mr. gill and my continued use of her as a face is due to four years of resources i’ve spent real money on.

as a selective & mutually exclusive blog, if i don’t follow you, please don’t attempt to force me to write with you. please don’t be offended if i don’t follow you back or continue to send asks & IMs trying to make me, i am slow activity as it is and have a lot going on at any given time. i will unfollow after two months of inactivity unless there is a hiatus notice with a given return date or unless we’re close. i have the mutual checker on xkit and if you don’t follow me back within two weeks of my following you, i will unfollow with no hard feelings. if i follow you more than once, please understand it’s not because i’m trying to get noticed, merely that i might have forgotten you didn’t want to follow back - feel free to soft or hard block me if that’s the case!

don’t be a dick. don’t vagueblog, don’t send hateful stuff to me or to others, please don’t talk behind people’s backs and please don’t involve me in drama. i’m here to write nat, i’m not here to get caught up in the middle of things. if you and one of my other friends don’t get along, i completely understand, but please don’t try to involve me in your disagreement unless it directly pertains to something i’ve said or done. i’m too old for it, and your disagreement does not mean i will care for either of you less. some people don’t get along, that’s not a reason to split me down the middle.

i’m multiship. i treat nat like the town bicycle and i will write every and any kind of ship be it romantic or platonic or hateship, be it fluffy and slow burn or smutty and one-night-standy. however, i observe the right to say no to anyone if i don’t feel the ship chemistry when i’m writing with you. you obviously have the same right. natasha is very pansexual, she has no preference toward any gender. she is also, in many verses, polyamorous. on another note: my default verse has natasha having been taught and fallen for bucky barnes in the red room. if you would like for me not to include this, please let me know! that being said, buckynat is a prevalent ship on this blog and i will not accept hate for it - please either do not follow or blacklist buckynat as i have a tag specifically for it.

natasha is a very sexual muse. i’m not going to put any kind of weird spin on it. she loves sex, part of her method of coping in the world she’s in is with her sexuality, and she is openly pansexual. there will be nsfw images and threads, but everything will be tagged. if you are under eighteen, please be aware when you’re following me of this fact. a lot of the images and gifs in my queue are of a sexual nature. i do have a ‘female form’ tag, but usually anything like that will also be caught under the nsfw tag anyway. that being said - i will not write smut with you unless i’m very comfortable with you. it’s just a thing. i’m an anxious mess.

my replies will be slow. i wish they weren’t, but my muse comes and goes with my anxiety and some days i feel like writing and some days i don’t. it’s not anything personal, it’s entirely based on how i’m feeling that day and i hope you can understand why it takes so long - it’s definitely not that i don’t wanna write with you. please don’t harass me for replies, please don’t be offended if i choose to reply to someone else or put your replies in the queue - it’s just depending on who i’m speaking to/what we’re talking about and it’s not meant to be offensive.

this blog will contain mature themes. natasha is by nature a dark character with a past that involves sexual abuse, physical abuse, torture and mental abuse as well as psychological manipulation. if you’re uncomfortable with these topics, my blog might not be for you. however, everything will be tagged appropriately. there will be imagery of guns, knives, lingerie, blood & sometimes spiders. everything of these natures will be tagged with the name + tw.

feel free to approach me about ships or plots, but do not just write ‘wanna rp’ or ‘wanna plot’. if you do, i’ll respectfully decline. if i follow you back, it means i would like to write with you, so if you wish to write together, you’re going to have to do a little better than ‘wanna rp’ - i have a wishlist tag (available on the bottom star of my nav) and if we’re both canon writers, there’s a good chance we’ve got a basis for where we can go. even if you just chat with me on IM or discord, we’ll figure something out from there. either that, or like my starter calls when they’re posted or send some memes in!

due to having social anxiety, i will not send in passwords but will be certain to read your rules and about page before following. i do not require you send a password here. i will also not participate in callouts or fandom discourse for the same reason. the only reason i would participate in a callout would be for a toxic, dangerous person so people can be informed for their own safety and even then i would never instigate. i would therefore appreciate you tag callouts as well as incest and daddy kink. untagged instances of either (though ddlg in jest is different) will result in a quiet softblock.

i have said my piece regarding my opinion of scarlett’s choices re: rub and tug, that is all i can do. i do not condone transphobia or miscasting. i have no intent on ever hurting anyone, so if i have said anything offensive, please feel free to block or speak with me regarding it, i would absolutely hate to cause harm and if it’s something said casually that i’ve said in misinformation, i’d love to know for the future. be aware - i’m australian and am not entirely aware of america’s political climate other than what i see from the outside and that’s very different than living it.

you may always turn a meme into a thread, but when you do be certain to make it into a new post and use the @ feature to tag me. also, i won’t follow if you don’t cut your posts because it clutters the dashboard and i’m trying to keep it incredibly particular. please also don’t be offended however if i don’t reply to a continued meme if it’s very generic.

the way i show whether or not i’ve seen a reply is by liking it. if i haven’t liked a starter you’ve posted for me or a meme reply, i have not seen it. while i may be asleep and just haven’t had time to look yet, it may be that tumblr has eaten my notification. in these cases please feel free to come to me in my ask or my IM and ask me if i’ve seen them - that sort of a reminder is always welcome!

OVERVIEW

Natasha began her journey in the Red Room, a training facility in Russia that created sleeper agents using brainwashing and conditioning to make them unquestioningly loyal. As a baby she had been thrown from a burning building by her dying mother and had been caught by a Russian soldier, Ivan Petrovitch. He took her in, and, seeing her intelligence even as a toddler, took her to Department X along with a number of other orphans to be raised in the Black Widow Ops program. Too young to remember her parents, she was conditioned to believe that she was being taught to be a star ballerina in the Bolshoi Theatre while at the same time behind the brainwashing they were creating a perfect killer.

One of twenty eight trainees, Natasha rose to the top of the ranks because of her ruthlessness in training. She took to it better than any agent before her ever had, not knowing any life outside of the Red Room. She killed without mercy, fought off opponents much stronger than herself and didn’t flinch when she was hurt in the process. She sought relaxation in the ballet side of the training, and became capable as both an intelligence agent and as a dancer.

In her late teens, she was introduced to Alexei Shostakov, a talented Soviet test pilot, who fell in love with the talented ballerina. Deciding to revert her training in order to make Alexei too comply, she was reconditioned to believe the story that she, a prima ballerina with the Bolshoi, had fallen in love with him. The KGB made a perfect pair of them, training Alexei as the Red Guardian - the Soviet’s answer to Captain America.

One day, Natasha was told that her husband died in an experimental rocket crash and that he would have wanted her to continue to serve her country in a program run by the KGB. Traumatised, she said yes and the Red Room reclaimed their star operative, using the preface that love only caused pain to make her even more ruthless than she had been previously. An adult now, they were more determined than ever that her body be used and her skills of seduction were further mastered.

However, Natasha met the Winter Soldier and that’s where the Red Room began to lose their grip on their perfect operative and when she became dubbed officially the Black Widow. Training with the Winter Soldier became something she enjoyed. He pushed her through the limits other trainers couldn’t reach and she was then enhanced with a serum derivative of that which had been given to Captain America and the Winter Soldier. It extended her lifespan and enhanced her already peak natural abilities.

The Winter Soldier and the Black Widow, despite both being tightly controlled by the Soviets, eventually fell in love. At first it was a rebellious affair, made exciting by the fact that they were going against their programming to sneak around. And then it became more.

Until they were found out. The Winter Soldier was wiped once again and returned to his cryogenic stasis and Natasha was reprogrammed, made to forget the man who had made her human again. That was until she met Hawkeye, who she found herself entranced by and in the end, in love with. He was tasked by SHIELD to take her down during an assassination attempt but having spent time with the Black Widow, made another call and managed to bring her in safely. She chose to try to make amends, but was recaptured by the Red Room and her handlers briefly.

Natasha, now having tasted freedom, steeled her will and made a bid for amnesty and a membership with SHIELD as one of their top operatives.

Eventually, having proved herself to Nick Fury with a number of outings with Hawkeye, Natasha was placed as an intelligence agent and a spy with Stark Industries to watch over Iron Man due to the Avengers initiative. She and Tony Stark made friends, and then when the Avengers came to be, she joined without hesitation, ready to make amends for her past crimes.

Throughout the years Natasha has worked both with the Avengers and on her own terms - sometimes with other, more street level heroes - but often returns back to the employ of the superhero team because of her determination to do better than she was as a KGB agent. There was a slab of time where she worked closely with Daredevil, having been romantically linked to Matt Murdock, until she found herself too controlled by his actions and needed to go her own way once more.

Natasha has worked with a number of heroes as their partner since and though agreeing to sign the Accords, inevitably followed her good friend Steve Rogers into hiding as one of his Secret Avengers and standing beside him after Thanos’ destructive fingersnap.
